Kamen Rider - The Terrifying CobraMan

So I just finished watching episode 9 of Kamen Rider. I think I enjoyed it more than the BeeWoman episode! But, the episode fills me with a sense of dread because the actor who plays Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider gets injured in a motorcycle for real and with him being out of action, it affects the quality of the next few episodes until a certain "someone" makes a debut.

This episode starts off showing the monster of the week, CobraMan, putting on a pair of special designed fangs that help him produce a deadly acid that can melt through pretty much anything! With this acid, the Shocker organization plans to break into Japan's national gold reserve and be super rich! And with Japan out of the way, they'll move onto the United States of America, and then the United Kingdom, and so on and so forth until they have all the gold! All of it.

Acid is foamy
That actual break-in scene is pretty humorous. In that CobraMan only met resistance from one guard, who is quickly dispatched with acid to the face. Ouch. Things are looking up for Shocker until a guard's son's dog (they live in the National gold reserve, apparently), affectionately named "Dummy", attack CobraMan and in the confusion, he drops his acid fangs and gets the hell out of there.  And he left the gold.  Good job, CobraMan.

With his fangs missing, CobraMan sets out for revenge against the dog. But the dog died already, perhaps from injuries in the fight. Pissed off, he goes and kidnaps the little boy in order to interrogate him over the missing fangs that the dog supposedly stole and now it's up to Kamen Rider to save the day again!

Kamen Rider kicking a Shocker goon
It seems like they are starting to put more effort in their fight choreography now, as this episode had quite a few exciting scenes, even a surprising one featuring Tachibana.  CobraMan himself turns out to be one of the more interesting villains so far thanks to having a large amount of screen time during the beginning part of the episode.  Though it was kind of weird for him to has his ass handed to by a dog and yet he managed to put up some resemblance of a fight when he was up against Kamen Rider himself.  Ha ha power levels.

So yeah, I'd say it was a great episode episode far.  I eagerly await the next one which features the return of CobraMan!  Have good one!

  2. The thing about the CobraMan is that he is too busy with his two full time jobs and all of his love making.
